Yes, some reservations may come with a cancellation fee, depending on the rate and vehicle type you chose.
If you booked using points, here's how cancellations work:
Note: If you don’t cancel before the pick-up time and do not pick up the vehicle, you will lose all the points used for the reservation, regardless of your membership level.
If a Hertz Gold Plus Rewards member made the reservation, only that member can modify or cancel it by logging in with their member number and password.
For non-member reservations, anyone can make changes or cancel the reservation online by entering the confirmation number and the last name associated with the reservation.
If you need to change your payment method for your Hertz reservation, the process varies depending on how you booked your reservation:
Pay Now: Unfortunately, you cannot update your payment method once the reservation is made.
Pay Later (non-member): You can change your payment method at the counter when you pick up your vehicle.
Hertz Gold Plus Member: If you booked using your Hertz Gold Plus account, you can change your payment method online. However, you will need to check in at the Hertz counter at pickup to validate the new payment method.
